1, Your telegram D. 570 22nd December, re Chinese extra-territoriality. The Canadian Government is in complete agreement with the proposal for issuing an Order in Council to come into force on the date of exchange of ratifications of United Kingdom treaty and to abrogate existing China Order in Council and for expressing this Order in Council as made by and with the consent of H, M, Governments in the Dominions.

The Canadian Government has communicated to the Chinese Minister the proposed text for a treaty terminating extra-territoriality. The Minister has cabled the text to Chungking and it is not known when a reply may be expected,
